SAP iPad enterprise deployment enables 'mobile mindset,' CIO says

Date: Jan 18, 2012

The SAP iPad enterprise deployment is one of the biggest in the world, with more than 14,000 employees using Apple's tablet.

For SAP, iPad use has made employees more productive, and the software giant has been able to collect more accurate data from sales reps in the field and other mobile workers, CIO Oliver Bussmann said. SAP execs were initially concerned about their ability to deploy, manage and secure the devices, but they were able to use mobile device management and other tools to allay those fears, Bussmann said.

In this video from the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show floor, Bussmann talks about the SAP iPad enterprise deployment with SearchConsumerization.com's Colin Steele and ConsumerizeIT.com's Jack Madden.
